Commute, sweets, an unlucky sheep

Photos. First, our commute across the Bosphorus to first day of work. We have Akbils now, which was a hassle to find, because they are always sold out. Akbils are electronic passes for public transit. It attaches to a key chain and is much easier than paying with cash every time. We live on the Golden Horn, and a ferry runs from right near our house across to Asian side (and back - with a nice sunset).

Here are some photos of food, well sweets. We will take some of food soon Whitney...

We heard sheep one morning, just outside the house. There are 16 million people here officially, easily 20 million in reality, but things like this still happen - the man across the street picked one out, the rest were led away, and he had it skinned, butchered, and handed out in under ten minutes. Lillian took photos from our balcony.
